Kaylee Zingers

Just had to record a few from today:

"Mom, drive home quickly, I'm really hungry!"
"I will get home as fast as I can, but I don't want to get into an accident"
"I mean SLOWLY drive home quickly!"

And later....
"Well... I got the burps today"

Shave and a Haircut

Check it out, the reverse mohawk is back in style. Hudson is all over this! He found the clippers I had absent mindedly left on the desk, which I thought was completely out of juice, but apparantly had enough to do this!
Yes, that's a 1/8th inch shave, people!

I lost the charging cord for the clippers and had just ordered a replacement. I hope the UPS man brings it soon. In the meantime I decided I like it. It makes me laugh and I hope it makes other people smile.

Where is God?

Tonight before bed, we watched a Veggie Tales video called "Where's God When I'm Scared". After the show I turned off the tv and shuffled the kids towards the bathroom to get ready for bed. Kaylee began complaining that it was dark. I asked her what we just learned on the video...that God is always with us and He's bigger than anything we might be afraid of.

"But I can't see God", she complained.

"Yep, God is invisible, and He's always with us to keep us safe" I replied.

"Where is He? Maybe He's in the walls" (knock, knock)

"Hmm...could be. I never thought of that."

Hudisms

Jeff pointed out to me tonight that Hudson will say "Bless you" when ANYTHING comes out of your mouth. So if you burp, Hudson will bless you.

Tonight we went to a friend's birthday celebration. There was some really good food there. Steak, chicken, beans, fruit... Hudson wanted none of it. He was happy to graze on the cat food instead.

Oh BOY!

Funny Things Kids Say

Yesterday I was putting a bandage on Kaylee's hand where she scraped it earlier. We just finished cleaning and drying it when Kaylee broke into tears. Between whines and sobs she says to me "Mom, I'm having issues!" It was so hard not to crack a smile!!

Today as I was cleaning up a dirty diaper, Hudson was laying there insisting that it's "just gas". I said, "Look, this isn't gas I'm cleaning off your bottom here buddy!". But he kept insisting it's not a "stinky" (as he calls it) but "just gas".

She Cracks Me Up

Today Kaylee said that Hudson was pushing buttons on the phone. I told her that sometimes she does the same thing to me. Then I watched as the light blub went off in her head and she said, "You're like a phone!"
